May the Frequencies of Sound Gently Reach Your Heart and Soul
Hello and welcome.
My name is Kotaro, a musician and sound creator at Curanz Sounds.
On this page, I’d like to share a brief behind-the-scenes look at how we create music at Curanz Sounds.
We often use Kaneda-style DC microphones and synthesizers to shape healing frequencies in digital recordings.
However, when it comes to recording acoustic healing instruments,
we sometimes use a rather unique method —
analog tape recording followed by DSD conversion —
a technique that’s quietly gaining attention in modern Europe, especially in Germany.
Today, I’d like to introduce this recording approach in a simple and friendly way.
And don’t worry — this won’t be a technical talk.
Why are we so devoted to this method?
Because we want to deliver frequencies of love and harmony
more naturally, more deeply — directly to your heart and body.
Embracing the Vibrations of Sound as a Whole

Sound is not just something we hear with our ears.
It fills the space, resonates through the body, and gently wraps around the heart —
it is energy itself.
Analog tape recording captures not only audible sound,
but also the subtle vibrations and air fluctuations that cannot be seen.
While digital recording “organizes information,”
analog recording feels more like “embracing the living energy flowing through the space.”
This feeling is something I deeply love.
The Luxury of Tape Recording Followed by DSD Conversion
Here is how we record at Curanz Sounds:
Vintage open-reel tape recording
using the Revox A77 or AKAI GX-4440D
↓
Conversion to DSD (Direct Stream Digital)
preserving the overtones and air as they are
↓
Mastering to PCM for distribution
shaping the sound gently for daily listening
The beauty of this method is that it starts with
a large vessel that receives the full wave of sound —
and from there, it is carefully refined as needed.
It’s like preparing a warm, home-cooked meal
and serving it in portions that are easy to receive.
“Your Method Is Trending in Germany Too!”
Recently, I spoke with a German recording engineer.
He told me, “Kotaro, your method is catching on here too!
It’s more expensive, but many clients are asking for their works to be mastered to tape first.”
Why this growing demand?
Because the charm of healing music lies in how much
love and harmony can be infused into the work itself.
In this world, it’s possible to embed thoughts and feelings into objects or creations —
but few things reflect those vibrations more clearly than sound and music.
And if sound comes first, light may follow.
Truly Resonant Sound Feels Like Life Itself
The kind of sound that truly reaches the heart and body
is richer, warmer, and more alive.
It is not created by machines alone,
but born from natural irregularities, overtones, and the energy of the air.
That is why I hold great respect for this analog-to-DSD method.
Sound is a frequency that gently reaches the depths within you.
Our Vision at Curanz Sounds
What we aim to deliver at Curanz Sounds
is not just music —
but harmonic energy carried through sound.
May the power of sound bring a gentle breeze into your life,
and may it softly awaken something beautiful within you.
May sound waves melt into the deepest parts of your being.
This is the kind of work we will continue to create —
with care, love, and intention.
