Curanz Sounds Recording Method

So that the frequency of sound can gently reach your mind and body

Hello.
This is Kotaro from Curanz Sounds.

On this page, I’d like to introduce a little bit of what it’s like to be involved in the production of Curanz Sounds.

At Curanz Sounds, we usually do digital recording using Kaneda-type DC microphones, process frequencies using synthesizers, and produce healing sound sources.

However, when recording healing instruments, I’d like to introduce a slightly unusual recording method: converting from analog recording to DSD.

But it’s not difficult.

Why do we insist on using this method?

It’s because we want to deliver the “frequency of love and harmony” to your mind and body more naturally and deeply through sound.

Embracing the Sound — As a Living Vibration

Sound is not just something we hear with our ears.
It fills the space around us, resonates through our bodies, and gently wraps itself around our hearts like energy made visible.

Recording with analog tape has a special ability — it captures not only the sound itself, but also the invisible waves and subtle movements of the air that exist in that moment.

While digital recording is often about organizing and storing information neatly, analog recording feels more like embracing the very life and energy flowing through that space.

And I find this way of capturing sound incredibly beautiful.

The Luxury of Recording to Tape, then Converting to DSD

This is the recording flow we follow at Curanz Sounds:

Vintage Open-Reel Recording
Captured with Revox A77 or AKAI GX-4440D analog tape recorders.
DSD Conversion (High-Resolution Digital)
Preserving every nuance of air, space, and harmonics.
Mastered to PCM for Streaming
Delivering sound that naturally blends into your daily life.

What makes this process special is that we first receive the sound — in all its energy, depth, and natural vibration — using a very large “vessel,” and then gently shape it into a form that fits comfortably into everyday listening.

It’s much like cooking a meal with great care and love, then serving it in small, beautiful portions that are easy to enjoy.

Interestingly, a German engineer I spoke with recently — who runs a recording studio in Germany — told me:

“Kotaro, your method is trending here too! It’s expensive, but more and more artists are asking us to master their recordings to tape before finalizing the project.”

Why I Choose This Recording Method

The true beauty of healing music lies in how deeply we can infuse each sound with love and harmony — not just as a melody, but as pure frequency.

In this world, it’s said that objects, creations, and even spaces can hold energy — the thoughts, feelings, and intentions of their creators.

But among all things, sound — and music especially — is perhaps the most direct and powerful carrier of that energy.

Sound moves us.
Sound enters us.
Sound becomes part of us.

Some say that light comes next after sound — that light carries energy too — but there is something uniquely intimate about the way sound reaches us first, filling both heart and body.

The kind of sound that truly resonates is not cold or mechanical.
It’s rich.
It’s warm.
It feels alive.

That kind of sound doesn’t come from machines — it comes from nature:
from subtle fluctuations, from harmonics, from the energy in the air itself.

That’s why I’m so deeply committed to this way of recording — capturing sound through analog tape, then preserving its life energy through DSD conversion.

It’s not just a method —
it’s a way of honoring the soul of sound itself.

Sound — A Gentle Frequency That Reaches Within

At Curanz Sounds, we create music as a way of delivering harmony — not just as sound, but as energy that gently embraces your heart.

We hope that the power of sound moves through your life like a soft, quiet breeze —
flowing through your space,
filling your days,
and reaching deeply into your body and soul.

This is the kind of music we wish to continue creating —
music that lives, breathes, and softly stays with you.

In Closing

If this way of recording speaks to you —
or if you’d like to feel this sound for yourself —
we warmly invite you to listen to the music of Curanz Sounds.

We believe your heart and body will recognize it instinctively —
in the most natural and gentle way.

May your world be filled with more kindness,
more beauty,
and more resonance than ever before.
